Melbourne Assembly Rooms is a picturesque South Derbyshire venue with a busy calendar of events run by a community volunteer group.
Melbourne Assembly Rooms were having issues with the flexibility of their existing site and were struggling to keep it up to date. They therefore tasked us with creating a brand-new website for their venue.
We created them a bespoke new website complete with event functionality. Working with their videographer and photographer to source new imagery, we built a site centred around showcasing the venues beautiful features, so that the unique character of the rooms was clearly reflected in their site.
As with all websites we create, user experience was a core value we considered in all aspects of the project; we wanted to ensure that people could find the information they needed quickly and easily. With a detailed page for each of the venue’s different spaces, including a 360-degree view, capacity information, and a list of key features, all the necessary information was available. This not only created a smoother experience for the website’s visitors, but also reduced the number of unnecessary enquiries to the team and lightening their internal processes.
We successfully created a stunning website for Melbourne Assembly Rooms, with seamless UX design and event functionality that was fully integrated with their hall booking system.
Our website achieved exceptional speed test score results, improving from 76% on their previous site to an 100% performance score on their new site.
Of course, we also performed our thorough SEO optimisation throughout the setup, ensuring that all the correct information was sent to Google to guarantee their site was seen by as many as possible – now and in the future.
“We approached MacMartin with high hopes and a low budget. They delivered an excellent site for Melbourne Assembly Rooms on time and on budget. They backed up technical competence and creative flair with excellent communications despite COVID. Support including training after the site launch continues to be very good.”
