MacMartin Moves into the Cavendish Building: A New Home for Creativity Grounded in Behavioural Science

MacMartin has officially moved into the University of Derby’s new Cavendish Building – a space designed for collaboration, learning and impact. Our new home brings us closer to the research, people and partnerships that shape our evidence-driven approach to creativity and behaviour change.

We’ve always believed that meaningful change happens when you bring the right people together. Our move into the University of Derby’s new Cavendish Building, home to the Derby International Business School, is an intentional step toward strengthening that belief.

This is more than just a lovely new office space, it’s about placing ourselves in an environment built for learning, collaboration and real-world impact.

"This partnership for us isn’t just about having an office in the Cavendish Building, it’s about being part of a community where research, knowledge and impact all come together.”

Designing a Space That Reflects Our Purpose

Located on the second floor, our new workspace gives us room to continue growing as a purpose-driven agency – one that blends creativity with behavioural insight to help people make positive, lasting change.

What drew us to the Cavendish Building wasn’t just its state-of-the-art facilities, but the ecosystem surrounding it. With organisations such as Marketing Derby and Blind Screen also calling it home, the space encourages connection, shared learning and cross-sector collaboration.

A Community That Aligns With Our Values

The Cavendish Building has been designed to bring together academics, researchers, businesses and innovators who care deeply about societal impact. For us, being here means embedding ourselves within a community that shares our commitment to understanding human behaviour and driving change for public good.

While we’ve worked closely with the University of Derby for many years, this move marks a more integrated relationship – a chance to be physically closer to the knowledge base that informs so much of our work.

“In particular the university’s research in psychology, behavioural science and social impact is really valuable to us and will allow us to connect their insights with marketing so that we can apply them to real-world campaigns."

Looking Ahead

As we settle in, we’re excited about the conversations and opportunities that will emerge simply from being part of this dynamic setting. Our new home represents more than a change of address; it reflects who we are and where we’re heading.

We’re here to drive creativity and behavioural insight forward, together.
